• Charters are available for world-famous Barkley Sound whale-watching. There are frequent sightings of Gray Whales and Killer Whales. Steller's and California sea lions, harbour porpoises and elephant seals are also seen in Barkley Sound.
• The Bamfield area is also well known for it's incredible ecotourism, scuba diving, shipwreck sites, kayaking and canoeing, and the famous West Coast Trail.
